Baptism at Christ Presbyterian Church

Baptism is a gift of God, an outward sign of an invisible grace. We baptize with water, just as Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River. We baptize in the name of the triune God, because Jesus gave followers this power and privilege. In baptism, we celebrate that God loves us fully, unconditionally: God loved us before we’re capable of knowing that love - and - God will love us far after we’ve realized that we don’t quite know how to return that love. And in the sacramental moment of baptism, we feel the power of human love, for it is this particular community of faith - Christ Presbyterian Church - who baptizes us into God’s universal and eternal family.
